Water Slide Rentals for Your Backyard Bash: What You Need to Know Before You Book

It’s July in Houston, the kids are melting and you have a birthday party to throw. A Water Slide rental can take care of that in about 4 hours. Before you book, examine your yard, light receptacles, hose, and the slide that works with your guest list. Get those right and delivery day will be a piece of cake.

Will a Water Slide Fit in Your Backyard?

Our slides may seem tiny in pictures, but they’re anything but once you’re on the ground. Measure first.

What’s the footprint? Every slide has its dimensions listed on its product page. How does that compare to your available space? Leave space for kids to run in and out of your new favorite destination.

Check up. Our waterslides are between 15 and 20 feet tall. Tree branches, covered patios and high-voltage lines can all cause issues. Our space, surface, and access guide goes into more detail.

Think about the gate. Crews need a straight shot to the spot where they’ll set up, so tell us about a narrow gate at the time of reservation.

What You Need to Supply: Water and Power

You’ll need an outdoor spigot and a hose that reaches to the slide. Splash pool slides use more water than wet slides.

The blowers that inflate the slide need an outlet, too. If it’s far away, or there will be a lot of attractions going at the same time, a generator can come in handy. We offer one from $99, and our power and generator guide will get you planning.

Picking the Perfect Slide

Start with three questions, not one theme.

Who’s coming? Use recommended ages on each product page to make sure your little guests have a blast.

How long is the party? For just a couple hours of fun, set up a bounce-and-slide combo so kids can bounce their hearts out then cool off on the slide.

Do grown-ups want to ride? A taller slide is great for big kids.

What size wet slide is best for your group? Smaller wet slides are perfect for smaller groups and more confined yards. A wet slide is easy and inexpensive to set up and is great for smaller yards.

A splash pool slide allows a break for the kids and more room for water but takes a little more space and water.

Pricing & Booking

Our current waterslides start at $349 and go to $469. These are “from” pricing, so delivery setup equipment and upgrades will alter the total.

$50 deposit secures any slide and balance is paid at time of event. Each slide is limited on availability so book early for summer weekends.

Quick Backyard Checklist

  • Measure your space and overhead clearance
  • make sure you have a water-hose ready spigot
  • find an electrical source, or plan for a generator
  • Remove any chairs, furniture, or sharp objects
  • Ask your guests to bring a towel and change of clothes
  • Plan on having some adult supervision the whole party

Planning a backyard waterslide rental in Houston doesn’t have to be complicated. By measuring your available space, checking overhead clearance and access, preparing a water source and power supply, and choosing a slide that fits your guests and yard, you can avoid common setup issues and make party day easier
